It has been for-freaking-ever! [12 Dec 2005|12:11pm]
[ mood | bouncy ]

Wow...so I decided I should finally start updating this thing. I actually have been updating alot, just not on here. Most of you know that because you're my friend on myspace as well. Okay. So..first of all...Merry Christmas!
Sooo much has been happening lately....There's a couple of huge things that have to wait until the next update, but until then, I have successfully finished my first semester of college! I had been a Theatre major this semester, but I think I could do better in the visual arts department. I'm thinking photography. It's sort of an obsession with me right now hahaha.
Let's see what else. I really can't wait until tomorrow night. I'm going to Blake's "Carols for a Cure" concert at St. Lukes. I'm so excited. It's going to be awesome.
Friday night I went to the Rave with Victor and a bunch of his friends (his church had rented out the theatre) to see Chronicles of Narnia. It is soooooo good. I'm so proud of Disney for making it. The little girl Lucy is adorable. You should all go see it.
Anyway--I think that's all besides what has to wait until the next update LOL.

P.S.: Whaddya think of my new icon? It's by a German artist named Loretta Lux.

What I realllllyyy think of y'all... [17 May 2005|11:45pm]

What You Really Think Of Your Friends

Samantha is your soulmate.
You truly love Lesy.
You consider Blake your true friend.
You know that Katherine is always thinking of you.
You'll remember Elyse N. for the rest of your life.
You secretly think Christina is creative, charming, and a bit too dramatic at times.
You secretly think that Kourtney is colorful, impulsive, and a total risk taker.
You secretly think that Eric The Beef is loyal and trustworthy to you. And that Eric The Beef changes lovers faster than underwear.
You secretly think Elyse N. is shy and nonconfrontational. And that Elyse N. has a hidden internet romance.

It's been a while... [07 Mar 2005|11:35am]
[ mood | hungry ]

heeey. Well I'm sittin' here in the computer lab, as per usual, and Richard is making a myspace!
Umm...anyway. What has happened lately? Melba and Phil came home last night, which means I'm back at the ol' Weaver abode. I like being home again, though. My parents and I went to the rave yesterday and saw "Million Dollar Baby". It was okay, but I didn't like the ending. Oh well. I thought Clint Eastwood rocked though. :-D
Wow- I just looked back at my journal to see the last time I updated it and it was WEDNESDAY! That's a long time! LOL.
Let's see then...since Wednesday...
Well Thursday and Friday were just normal days at school, nothing much happened. Friday I met Su and Blake afterschool at Durty Nelly's, which is always soooooo good. Can you tell I'm hungry? We talked and ate for about an hour, and then Blake and I went with Mom to the Yellow Submarine while Mom ate. We talked about how we're going to go through all Mom's old stuff that she has stashed away in my Pa's barbershop and keep the cool records, clothes and whatnot, then make it into a dance studio/workout room/craft place.
After we ate, Blake came over to Melba's house for a while and played with the puppy.
Saturday I just kind of hung out all day at home, then I went to work at 5:00. It wasn't too bad.
Yesterday I went to church with Nana and Pa, because my cousin Brandy was coming and she was bringing her daughter, Madison, along. After church we all went out to eat with Corey, Lance, and Matt.

Oh yeah, and I bought a Nicole Mullen CD.

Let's get it started in 'HAH!' [02 Mar 2005|10:15pm]
[ mood | jubilant ]

Ok, is it pathetic that I actually felt guilty about not updating this thing? LOL!
So today was good..I gave my senior talk today! It was actually kinda fun, even though I was really nervous beforehand. Jake did *really* well on his! It was really sweet. Richard's "whisperings into the wind" thing came out today in the school newspaper! Wo0t! It's sooooo good, and very sweet. I might have to type it on here. :-)
Anyway. So I'm here at Melba's house, and Chanel (the yorkie) is pouncing on me for some reason, LOL.
So I got to leave school at lunch, and Dad, Mom, Nana and I went to eat at the Olive Garden. YUM!!! I *love* the Olive Garden.
After that, Mom and I just came home and she took a nap while I watched the first little bit of "Dead Man" starring none other than Johnny Depp!! (wo0t)
WHOA! Awesome! 'Let's Get it Started' just came on my yahoo launch radio. And runnin' runnin' runnin'...ANYWAY! "Ha!" Ok for real this time.
Church was really good tonight. Kelly Eblin taught the girl's class, which always makes for an interesting lesson. :-) My Mom is choreographing (sp?) some dancing for "How to succeed.." tomorrow at school. Fun! Anyway. I g2g to bed. See ya on el flip side!

(Why don't we go somewhere only we know?)

Update: (as of 11:22 p.m.)

*Just finished watching "Benny & Joon" (Adian Quinn, Mary Stuart Masterson, Johnny Depp)

[23 Feb 2005|02:23pm]
[ mood | I didn't have lunch! ]

Friday after school, Mom and I met Corey and Nana at Northgate Mall just to hang out. We went in EVERYWHERE, literally. I bought the Kelly Clarkson CD and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" on video. We then went in PacSun where we saw Blake, who met us later at Applebee's. Before we went to Applebee's Nana went home, so it was just me, Mom, Corey, and Blake. So after we ate, Mom, Corey and I went to see "Hitch", which is *really* good! Saturday I don't really count as part of my weekend because I had to work literally all day. From 2-10. Blech! But I digress.
Sunday we went to church, which was good. Blake bought me a "I Love Link" pin from Hairspray! It's adorable...
Afterwards met Lance, Kathy, Leston, Nana and Pa at Smokey Bones, where Matt works (He basically hung out with us while we ate, LOL), for Lancie's Birthday! He's 15 now. When I got home, I went over to Lesy's for a while, then we went to the St. Luke's meeting, and then I went to Lance's real party at his house.
Monday I just kind of hung out all day and cleaned my room, and whatnot. I rented Garden State, which is really cute! (I wouldn't recommend renting it though, because of the language, but otherwise it's really good.) I also made an 80's music mix off of the computer! It's got "Time After Time", "Always Something There (To remind me)", "Tainted Love", "Melt With You", "Footloose", "Tempted", "Head over Heels", and my new favorite song, "Never Tear us Apart" by INXS.
Yesterday at school we had this team from Bryan College to talk to us all day about different Religions and Worldviews. It was okay.
Then I went to school this morning. It's been a pretty uneventful day so far. Friday we get to house sit for Aunt Melba! Wo0t! She has an awesome house. And her puppy, Chanel!

My New Favorite Song [23 Feb 2005|12:17am]
[ mood | sleeeppppyyy....Zzz ]

Don't ask me
What you know is true
Don't have to tell you
I love your precious heart
I
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never tear us apart

We could live
For a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I'd make wine from your tears

I told you
That we could fly
'Cause we all have wings
But some of us don't know why

I
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never ever tear us apart

(2 XOXOs | Why don't we go somewhere only we know?)

hahahaha BOROphyl! get it? *ahem* Anyway. [17 Feb 2005|02:20pm]
[ mood | confused ]

So, here I am, as per usual, sitting in computer class updating! LOL. :-)
Tuesday was completely uneventful...so it's not even worth writing about in here.
Wednesday was Mitch, Brittany, and Ryan's senior chapel talks. They were so good! Mitch's poem was awesome. He's so talented. Brittany's was really good, too. You can tell she put alot of thought into hers; but Ryan's was the best! His was absolutely precious!
After school yesterday, Mom and I hung out around Hamilton Place, and ate at Applebee's (David wasn't there ::sad face::), which was yummy.
We then went to church, where Kelley Eblin taught the girl's class. I love when she teaches. I won a CD! How cool. It was some live worship album from Saddleback CC.
Man! I just tried to go on lyrics.com and find Simple Mind's lyrics to "Don't You (Forget About Me)", but NO! These stupid computers have to deny access to EVERYTHING! LOL anyway.
Today has been pretty cool. I have alot of homework which pretty much stinks for me.
I'm really having a hard time making a certain decision right now...that only Elyse knows about. It's not as big of a deal as that made it sound, but still.
Anyway! Tomorrow is Senior Girl's club! I *love* senior girl's club. :-)

I shall leave you with today's "Quote of the Day!"

"Chlorophyl? Try BORO-phyl!" -Matt Herring

Happy Valentine's Day! I Love You! [14 Feb 2005|10:20pm]
[ mood | lonely ]

So you ask me how my week went...yes you did. Yuh-huh! You did So!!! Listen, Whatev.

Friday after school, I went to Creative Images to get my hair cut. Seriously, I don't think there is anything more fun than getting a new 'do. After that, I rushed home and put on a dress before heading to my church's youth Valentine Banquet. It was sooo much fun! We played this hilarious game, and had delicious steak. I sat by Amber's friend Amanda. She is super cool, I just love her! Anyway. It was fun. After that, we just came home and I rented Benny and Joon which I haven't had time to watch yet.

Saturday I was at Ballon a'Fair from 10:00-3:00 helping Mom, Cindy and Jimmy with Balloons and whatnot. At 5:00 I went in to work and my mouth almost dropped when I saw how many customers were in the store. I could hardly walk to the back! Anyway. I digress. It was fun working again! The bad thing is, though, because of work I'm going to have to miss Hairspray with Blake! ::whines like a toddler::

Sunday was fun. Church was good--Mickey preached the sermon which is always interesting. Blake came! he had been so sick, but he came. After church he ate with my parents and me at the downtown Chili's. He then followed us to Balloon a'Fair where we walked around while Mom helped Cindy and Jimmy with orders. We made Patience a Valentine! After that, we walked around Frasier Avenue for a bit, and saw some cool stuff in All things groovy (like a flying pig shooter--I'm dead serious), and in New Moon we saw a poster for the Fantasticks at UTC this Friday. We're planning on going to it in place of Hairspray. Fun!

School again, school again. I was uber tired this morning. Nothing exciting really happened today, except for the fact that general "Valentine's Day" merriment was in the air! I gave Richard and Tori these cute little crushable wax fortune hearts. We also got to read love poems today in English. Here was mine:
When I get old and losing my hair,
Many years from now
Will you still be sending me the Valentine,
Birthday greetings, bottle of wine

If I stay out till quarter to three
Wold you lock the door
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four.

You'll be older too,
And if you say the word I could stay with you.

I could be handy mending a fuse
When your lights have gone
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday morning go for a ride

Doing the garden, digging the weeds,
Who could ask for more
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four.

Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wight,
if it's not too dear
We shall scrimp and save
Grandchildren on your knee
Vera, Chuck & Dave

Send me a postcard, drop me a line
Stating point of view
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, wasting away

Give me your answer, fill in a form,
Mine for evermore,
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four.

Cute, isn't it? It's by Paul McCartney.
So tonight I went to voice lessons, which was really fun. Turns out Sarah Spangler is taking from Ms. Gouge, too! How fun! She might be in the recital March 12th (It's at 2:00, you know you want to come hear us sing!). Then I just came home and made a little scrapbook thingie. Now I'm here! Ugh. But I'm having a bit of trouble. I think I may like someone, but it fluctuates from day to day. Not much, but it does. Any comments?

[ mood | flirty ]

Alrighty, so I haven't updated since Last Thursday! Here's my week:

Friday was a half day at school, so after school (and a pep rally and homecoming practice) Richard, Stuart, Blake, Mom, and I went to the Shogun. We were soon joined by Mary, Shawnte, and Jacob, all who had to leave early. Shawnte go to eat with us, though :-) It was fun! Then came homecoming which went well. After homecoming, Mom, Dad and I went to Applebee's to eat. We saw David there and he talked to us for a minute. :-D After that I went to the dance. It was okay....they played "My Girl"!

Saturday morning my parents and I met Blake at the school so he could park his car, then we headed to Atlanta to see Little Shop of Horrors, wo0t! First we stopped at Cracker Barrel and had some breakfast. A couple of hours later we were in Atlanta. We got there right on timr to see the play, so we went straight to the Fox and found our seats. Blake immediately realized that Seymore was being played by none other that Anthony Rapp. For those of you who don't know, Anthony Rapp originated Mark in "Rent" and Charlie in "You're a good man, Charlie Brown". We were so excited! He and the Audrey both were awesome! We decided it was better than seeing it on broadway. Anyway! So after the show we went around back to the stage door and got Anthony and the Audrey's autographs!!!! :-D
After the show, Mom and Dad took us to Lenox Square Mall, where they have every designer store you can think of! Bloomingdale's, Kate Spade, Betsey Johnson, Steve Madden, Urban Outfitters, etc...It was awesome!
That night I went to the HARP Mardi Gras/ Superbowl Party which was a blast! Blake and I made a wire flower float. Lesy was there, too!

Sunday was okay, It was kinda boring because Nana and Pa were out of town. We normally eat with them. Nothing really interesting happened....

Monday through Today nothing really much happened, except (a) On Wednesday Shae and Richard did their Senior Chapel Talks. They both did so good! I didn't know Richard was so talented! They were both awesome. and (b) I bought "Sixteen Candles" at mcKay's and watched it last night. It was awesome, I <3 that movie!!! Tomorrow I get my hair cut!

P.S.: Like my new icon??

You Belong in 1965

  1965

If you scored...

1950 - 1959: You're fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!

1960 - 1969: You are a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule - oh, and drugs too.

1970 - 1979: Bold and brash, you take life by the horns. Whether you're partying or protesting, you give it your all!

1980 - 1989: Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

1990 - 1999: With you anything goes! You're grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It's all good!

Haappppy Biiirthdaaaay tooo meeee!!! [03 Feb 2005|10:24pm]
[ mood | ecstatic ]

So today was my birthday, wo0t! I am now legal. The big one-eight. Aaahhhhh!!!! I'm so excited! I love being eighteen. So this morning when I came into school, Richard gave me this CatDog keychain pencil holder thing which was AWESOME! We had been talking about catdog earlier this week, and about how much we used to love it. Blake gave me a card he had worked on all night--It was so sweet!! It had everything I love on it. Eiffel Tower, Audrey Hepburn, New York, Rocky Horror...a random Asian lady...LOL it was hilarious.
Anyway. My day went great after that. Mom picked me up at 11:30 and took em out to lunch, and then Richard and I finished our little square project first in Algebra II, so we discussed childhood cartoons, and how Teletubbies are evil and the Wiggles are cool, LOL. That's right guys. Eighteen, LOL. So after school, Mom took me to Northgate Mall, where I bought a skirt, some knee-high socks, and a wallet at PacSun, then some leg warmers and tights at Proffit's. We then hung around the mall until 6:30, when we went to Logan's to meet the familia for dinner. The waitress flirted with Matt the whole night. LOL. But I digress. Nana gave me some vintage pearls from before Mom or Uncle Leston was born, that she had worn. I absolutely *adore* them...they're so gorgeous! Mom bought me a portfolio/notebook thing from www.playbill.com that organizes all of your playbills. It's really neat! This has seriously been the best birthday in the history of birthdays. And tomorrow all the seniors are meeting at the Shogun to celebrate! (yes, I eat....ALOT!) Then it's homecoming time, wo0t! And theeeeennnn......::drumroll:: LITTLE SHOP ON SATURDAY!!!!!!!

Guilty as charged: painting in the first degree [01 Feb 2005|02:47pm]
[ mood | hungry ]

So today has been okay, I guess. I flunked a Chemistry quiz. wo0t. ::le sigh:: Anyway. So today was 80's day, and everyone was dressed up. I think my favorite outfit has to be Mary's. It's this green skirt with ducks painted on it! It's so pretty. Richard let me borrow "Donnie Darko", with Jake Gyllenhaal. Should be good. I'm excited about watching it. So...lunch was lunch. I wish I could have eaten with the seniors, but oh no! I had to go to "Why Know" (for those of you who don't know, "Why Know" is a sex education program which promoates abstinence). (Not only could I not go with the seniors, but I didn't have anywhere to go but the computer lab because they were all gone-- so I went to go paint, then Mr. Pierce kicks us out! grrr...) Oh well. I wish I had more classes with Elyse Newland. Random thought. I think I'm going to go by Applebee's after school, If I can, to see if David's working. That'll be fun! Then I'll see if I can go to America's Thrift Store to look for something with a team logo on it. Thursday is "team day" at school, and I don't own anything like that whatsoever. LOL.
So what's up with no one updating their journals anymore? Or commenting for that matter? It's depressing! Oh for Pete's sake.
I am soooooo looking forward to the end of this week!
Thursday-- My birthday (team day @ school) and Shopping!
Friday-- Homecoming Court / Lesy might spend the night / Half Day / Shogun after school
Saturday-- Little Shop of Horrors!
Oh, yeah. I didn't write last night, did I? So I went to voice lessons, and now Ms. Gouge might want me to sing "I only have eyes for you" from 42nd street. Anyway. g2g.

Slow down, Flipper! [30 Jan 2005|10:17pm]
[ mood | Sleeeeppppyyy yet anxious ]

This weekend has officially been Alanna's lay around like a slug weekend. WOOT! hahah. Yesterday Mom and I watched "Dave" (A movie where Kevin Kline is chosen to be the president's body double and winds up being president), and Dodgeball (good, but weird.). At two o'clock I went to see Elyseie dance in Verve. She did very well! I was impressed. Elyse's friend Radhika was also in a few of the dances, and she did wonderfully, too! She's soooo nice. :-)
After verve I came home (that's when we watched dodgeball) and then watched the Lindsay Lohan SNL rerun on E!. After that, I cleaned my room a bit, and stayed up to watch the Colin Farrel SNL rerun (LOL--I'm pathetic, I know) on NBC. BY THE WAY! ALL KEANE FANS LISTEN! KEANE WILL BE THE MUSICAL GUEST ON SNL SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5TH!!! TUNE IN! *ahem* anyway. So today I woke up to go to church, and was almost late, as usual. Bob was there, and she sang beautifully this morning! (but she hardly talked to me *hrmph*) After church Mom and I met Nana, Pa, and Lance at Brick Oven Grille. When we came home, I went to Lesy's and hung out in her *awesome* new bedroom! It's got two floors, and the top has a ballet beam. It's so cool. I then went with the Higley's to some Thai restaurant which I cannot pronounce, LOL. I was good though! I had Thai sweet tea, which is normal tea with cream and either cinnamon or curry or something in it. It was yummy! LOL. Elyse's dad Billy was crackin' me up on the way home. Susan was driving, and we were talking about food.
Billy: You know what Mahi-mahi is, right? It's flipper.
Me: Oh, really?
Billy: Eyep.
Susan (about the car passing us): He is going way too fast!
Billy: Who, flipper?

Movie quotes

From "Dave":
"She's great. She's really exotic! She's a princess! She's Polynesian - well, half Polynesian, and half American. She's... Amnesian. "

Two broadcasters at the Dodgeball tournament in "Dodgeball":
Cotton McKnight: "In 23 years of broadcasting I thought I'd seen it all, folks. But it looks like Peter La Fleur has actually blindfolded himself."

Pepper Brooks: "He will not be able to see very well, Cotton."

T.G.I.F!! [28 Jan 2005|02:28pm]
[ mood | contemplative ]

So...let's see...what all has happened that is interesting this week...I went to work Wednesday and Thursday, which I liked because I hadn't worked that much the past two weeks and I'd missed it! Today is Friday, which is pretty cool. :-D There was a Chemistry test this morning which I *MIGHT* have done decently on! (wo0t!) We had Senior girl's Club today. I *love* my club. We just sit there and talk with Mrs. Manning and Mrs. Brooks, who are the coolest ever. Speaking of teachers, I'm making a
"Best of Mr. Fuller" quote list:

1. (To Tori as she rocks a test tube back and forth in a flame):
"Rock-a-bye sul-fer, in a test tube....when you turn red I'm through-ooh with you.."

2. "Thank God for rock-n-roll music. And molecular compounds."

3. "Do you think that if Helium threw a party he would invite Oxygen or Selenium? No! He's a noble gas. Only other noble elements like Flourine or Neon would be invited..."

4. "Oh yeah, that hamster's a complete drunk, I walked in one morning and he was staggering around his cage, hiccupping.."

Tonight should be fun. It's girl's night out with the girls in my youth group. I'm going to see if Elyse wants to spend the night afterwards. (She has Verve until 8:45)

So....homecoming is next week. *All* the seniors are on court. (All ten of us, LOL) woot. I'm not excited at all. Blah. I have to go find a dress.

Speaking of dresses, Prom is soon! yaaay! I am excited about that! April 22nd. I know that's not really soon, but it's still time to start looking for a dress! I hope I can even find someone who would want to go with me. Everyone already has a date, and those who don't wouldn't want to go with me. Oh, well. I have until April thank goodness. Since it's Friday I might be able to update again tonight after girl's night out. Oh, and for those who don't know already, I have a new e-mail address: lildramamama01@yahoo.com.

From The Village:

Ivy Walker: When we are married, will you dance with me? I find dancing very agreeable. Why can you not say what is in your head?

Lucius Hunt: Why can you not stop saying what is in yours? Why must you lead, when I want to lead? If I want to dance I will ask you to dance. If I want to speak I will open my mouth and speak. Everyone is forever plaguing me to speak further. Why? What good is it to tell you you are in my every thought from the time I wake? What good can come from my saying that I sometimes cannot think clearly or do my work properly? What gain can rise of my telling you the only time I feel fear as others do is when I think of you in harm? That is why I am on this porch, Ivy Walker. I fear for your safety before all others. And yes, I will dance with you on our wedding night.
